It's been a busy, great week. Jayden had his first doctor's appt., was tortured in the lab taking his blood out of both ankles, and was given a clean bill of health. He just needs some extra vitamin D, which we expected. He has an appointment at Shriners in Portland the end of the month.
We went in the 4th of July pet parade (with stuffed animals for our pets!) that is an annual tradition in our town. More people are in the parade than watching it and the kids love it, especially the popsicles at the end.
Jayden has been trying new things every day. He is trying to talk a little (more like making a few baby babble sounds every once in a while), and even is trying to stand up on his own.
This adoption experience has been a lot different than the other two. Jayden is more of a baby than Olivia and Josiah were, even though he is older than Olivia was when we adopted her. When we first got him, he was only drinking a bottle, and is not walking. Developmentally, he was really more like a 6-8 month old than a 21 month old. He is already doing so much more developmentally, and I know he will continue to make huge strides.
I love seeing the pics of your whole family!! You guys are a wonderful site to behold!
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, Hannah, you are a brave, strong, VERY athletic little tiger (a sweet one).
