Hannah and I got in late last night after a long day (or two? Not sure with the time change) of traveling. We slept good last night, and got up to this view:
Notice the window in the neighboring building you can see straight through to a view of Hong Kong island. Pretty fun, since we didn't pay for a room with a view!
We had a fun day with lots of adventures. Started out going to Starbucks for breakfast, and then found our way on the subway to the train station to buy tickets to Guangzhou tomorrow. The entrance to the subway is literally a few steps away from the front door of this hotel, so very easy!
Then we came back to skype with David and the kids, which was great, and even had a conference skype call with Nana and Grandpa at the same time.
After that we were off to the Star Ferry, crossing over to Hong Kong Island. We had to ask a random hotel concierge desk for directions to the Victoria Peak tram. Wandering around in the Hong Kong alleys (where we found a great lunch by the way), two stops on the subway, and some more walking, we finally found the tram. I can't resist, David, sorry. But we had the most delicious steamed buns ever. The alley steamed buns are always the best.
Riding up the peak tram is an adventure, it is super steep. And the view from the top is amazing.
Tomorrow afternoon, we head to Guangzhou by train. Then on Monday, we get Jayden!!!
