Introducing Jayden!!!!!

We have Jayden!!! We got to the civil affairs office around 2:15 and some babies were already arriving. It was a much different experience than the previous adoptions, being in Guangdong province. There were lots of families being united with their children and lots of screaming. We were told that the van from Jayden's orphanage was running late, so we didn't meet Jayden until about 3:30. He didn't cry at all when handed over to me, and only cried a little all afternoon and evening, usually when he got scared from the flash of the camera.

Jayden is such a sweet little boy. He is a snuggle bug, which I love. He is very quiet, and the only peep we have heard from him was a few seconds of crying. He just seems to be taking it all in, looking around at everything. We decided to stay in and order room service for dinner, and I fed him some congee. At first he didn't seem to know how to eat with a spoon, but after a few attempted bites, he was slowly slurping up some congee. I had the wonderful opportunity to hold him while giving him a bottle (quite possibly the only time he has been held for a bottle), and just a few minutes ago he fell asleep in my arms. Praising God for the amazing gotcha day. Thank you all for your prayers.

Tomorrow, we go in the morning to complete all the adoption paperwork, and he will officially have a forever family.
